On September 11, 2016, KMatters Taguig Dialysis & Diagnostic Center in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross – Makati Branch, organized a blood donation drive – “Dugong Iyong Alay, Karugtong ng Aking Buhay” – to help our hemodialysis patients have easier access to blood products when needed.
Patients’ relatives and friends, rangers from the Armed Forces of the Philippines and our very own KMatters staff were among the many volunteers who selflessly gave their blood to help save the lives of others.
The need for blood in the Philippines is great. On any given day, more than 2000 units of blood are transfused to patients all across the country. The Philippine Red Cross supplies approximately 25% of the country’s national blood requirements. Let’s help them save more lives.
